Over the last decade or so, major corporations are starting to function and behave more and more like religious cults in the way they treat their employees, demanding extravagant displays of devotion and ever more subsuming commitment. Yet at the same time, the American worker has not been more disempowered since the second world war. ‘Having it All’ isn’t a Woman’s Issue

A new study has come out suggesting that women take an average £10,000 pay cut when they return to work after having children. Why are women the only ones taking a hit for the responsibilties of balancing work and family? Why do we consistently see this as a women’s issue. Here is my new piece on the Independent about it.
